We Are Proud To be volunteer based

We love having Alyssa along with us on our trips. She has a go‑getter attitude and an amazing heart. She is always happy to help, whether it’s creating colorful crafts and poster designs for camp or taking care of her travelers with a smile on her face. It is always a pleasure to have her traveling with us. She is someone who truly cares for our travelers, and it is evident in everything she does. 

Alyssa has done so much to serve this community. We appreciate her continued support of our program, as well as her ability and experience in this field. She truly has a good heart, and we are proud to call her a volunteer. 

Amelia is one of the kindest and most generous people you will ever meet. She not only volunteers, but also serves as a Travel Coordinator. She is an enormous help and is always there when you need her. She is reliable, extremely kind, and has a heart of gold.

Amelia brings such warmth everywhere she goes. She is considerate, patient, and diligent, and we are truly proud to have her with us.

Ashley is an experienced and kind volunteer. She has worked in this field for many years and has given so much of her life to it, and she works wonderfully with our travelers.

She is also a helping hand in our summer camp tie‑dye efforts, which is a challenging job in itself. We sincerely appreciate her help and all she gives—not only to us here, but to the many individuals she has served throughout her career.

Her husband john is new to volunteering in this field but is extremely helpful and dedicated to helping our travelers especially at camp and on our fishing trips 

Anthony (Butch), our resident fisherman and volunteer, is a welcome addition to our volunteer team. Not only is he experienced in this field, but he is also kind, caring, and hardworking, helping us with fishing trips and the behind‑the‑scenes work of summer camp. We appreciate his help in more ways than one.

Jenna is a valued member of our volunteer team. She is also one of our Travel Coordinators, and she is always a blast to be around. She is kind, dependable, and always willing to lend a helping hand. 

We value everything Jenna does for us and for this community — not only through our program, but also as a Special Olympics coach and so much more. Jenna is the kind of person who is truly selfless and giving, and we are grateful to have her.

Jenn and Josh are always a great help at camp and on our fishing trips. They make a great team and are amazing with our travelers, always making everyone feel included and consistently going above and beyond to ensure our travelers are having fun.

Jenn (Right) is one of our newer volunteers; however, she has already excelled at caring for our travelers. She is kind, patient, and caring toward her groups, and she is great at helping them socialize and feel comfortable. We look forward to traveling with her more, as she is a wonderful volunteer and a wonderful person.

Jodi is the kind of volunteer and person you can always rely on. She has been an important part of our summer camp for years and works tirelessly and selflessly to ensure our travelers have fun and our camp runs smoothly.

 We greatly appreciate all she does for us and for our travelers.

Lisa is a great member of our volunteer chaperone team. She is always willing to help out when we need her and is always up for traveling. In addition to working with us, Lisa also works with blind individuals at the School for the Blind and has years of experience in this field. 

She is a tremendous help to us, especially during summer camp, where she is a vital part of the behind‑the‑scenes work we do to make everything run smoothly. Lisa’s support and continuous devotion to us, as well as her years of volunteer work in this field, are deeply appreciated.

Martha is always helping others, and she is incredibly kind and considerate. She also has impeccable fashion sense. 

We love having her and her son Ben on our trips, big or small. Her support means a lot to us, and she is truly wonderful to have around. Whether she’s volunteering or just traveling, it is always a pleasure.

Michelle is a wonderful volunteer who has helped us greatly during her time at camp. She is kind, caring, and hardworking. She not only works within this field, but also takes the time to volunteer with us, showing how much she truly cares for and values our travelers and all individuals in our community. for that we thank her from the bottom of our hearts.

Milly is a wonderful volunteer. Not only is she extremely helpful and considerate, but she is always fun to be around. We love having her — and her brother Joe — on our trips. 

Milly is strong‑willed, hardworking, and incredibly reliable. She is someone you can always count on, and she is a friendly, welcoming face to our travelers. We always love having Milly traveling with us as she brings joy, energy, and a great time wherever she goes.

Ronald is the wonderful husband of our owner and founder, Sarah. They have been married for over 20 years and actually met while working together in this field. Ron is an amazing father and a longtime volunteer, with more than two decades of experience. He is our heavy lifter, our certified one‑man maintenance crew, and a truly hardworking individual. We are grateful to have him, and the bond he and Sarah share reflects how deeply we value family and connection within this community.

Travis Deen is the son of Sarah and Ronald. He is an American Red Cross–certified instructor in CPR, First Aid, and AED use, and he is currently pursuing a nursing degree. Travis works hard to ensure our volunteer chaperones are trained and have the confidence and skills necessary to support our travelers.

He also works part‑time in the office, where he is responsible for ensuring the safety of our travelers and assisting volunteers with traveler information and how best to care for and support each traveler. Travis takes great pride in his work and is extremely thorough in everything he does.

Dallas is the young daughter of Sarah and Ron and a big help to us. She is a shining example that younger children—and younger individuals in general—should feel included in this field. She will grow up knowing that people with disabilities bring unique strengths to our community, and that embracing those differences helps us build a supportive, inclusive environment where everyone can work together and achieve incredible things.

Lisa is an extremely kind and caring volunteer. She is patient, diligent, and selfless. Not only does she volunteer with us, but she also works as a teacher and has experience with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, giving her unique knowledge and insight that we greatly value.

She is an amazing person and a wonderful volunteer, and we are grateful for all the time she has given us.

Lori (right) is new to traveling and working in this field, but she already shows how dedicated and genuinely kind she is. She makes travelers feel included and welcome, bringing a warm, fun energy to her group and to our program. We look forward to going on more trips with her and bringing even more Travelers together.

Christine (left) is new to traveling but was a huge help to us in Nashville. She is attentive, fun, and makes our travelers feel included, ensuring they have a great time. She is also a great cook and baker and a wonderful addition to our team. Her creativity shines as she helps us make our Chinese auction gift baskets and raffle prizes.
